Activator ,Activator II, Activator III Electronic Brake Controls

Draw-Tite's Activator and Activator II electronic brake controls for trailers with electric brakes apply the trailer's brakes electronically as soon as the brake pedal is engaged, unlike pendulum models which react to inertia created after the tow vehicle's brakes have already begun to stop.

The amount of braking power (output) and rate of application (sync) are both adjustable for the individual driver's preference, road conditions, type of trailer and load. The driver can control the amount and rate of braking from soft to aggressive and the brakes can be manually applied.

Output
An output control is located on the front of both brake controls for easy adjustment. Activator has a slide adjustment and its output indicator is a red light, which illuminates when the brakes are applied. Activator II has a thumb wheel adjustment and its output indicator is a digital display, which shows the output when the brakes are applied.

Sync
The sync control is a slide adjustment located on the side of both brake controls. Activator II's output indicator will digitally display the sync setting.

Manual
The manual control is activated by squeezing the trigger located on the front of both brake controls and its use will illuminate both the tow vehicle and trailer stop lights as required by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration regulations.

Installation
Since Activator and Activator II have no moving parts or pendulums to adjust, they can be mounted in virtually any position and require no leveling - ever. Their slim, compact design and contoured shape are combined to provide more under-dash clearance than any other brake control. A conventional four wire hook-up is illustrated in easy-to-follow instructions. Mounting bracket and hardware are included.
